"We Are the Night" is a song by the South Korean idol group MYNAME. It was written by Greg Bonnick, Leon Price, Hayden Chapman, Charley Greenberg, Dan "Tekneek" Wayne, Cody Williams, and Carlos PenaVega, with re-translated lyrics by Se-yong and additional production by Hiro. It was released as the fourth advance single from the group's debut album WE ARE MYNAME, on February 6, 2013.

Co-written by Big Time Rush member Carlos PenaVega, the song was originally created and recorded for the band's own studio album Elevate in 2011. After it went unused, the song was presumably sold to the Japanese label YM3D, who offered it for MYNAME to record.

Background

Big Time Rush wrote and recorded over 50 songs for their second album, at least 30 of which they helped co-write themselves. Carlos PenaVega co-wrote "We Are the Night" with Cody Williams, Dan "Tekneek" Wayne, and Charley Greenberg in late March 2011. The full band later recorded vocals on June 21, 2011, during a studio session with Tekneek in Los Angeles, California. The track was produced by Greg Bonnick and Leon Price of the production duo Agent X, with additional vocal production handled by Chris Rojas.
