Bandana Man is James's superhero alter ego. He first appears in the episode Big Time Crib, when Kendall wants to stop Bitters from finding the people working on the Crib. He also made a cameo appearance in Big Time Love Song. He made another appearance in Big Time Superheroes, in which he created The Superstatic Super 6 to stop Hawk from stealing their songs and use them as his own. He convinces everyone that to defeat a supervillain you need superheroes. He fought against Hawk and his men and defeated them. He saved BTR songs with the help of The Superstatic Super 6 and send Hawk to jail. At the end the police hired them to help with trouble too big to handle (saving a cat from a tree).
